Big Move Ahead

And so it happened, now onward to Kabul,
For the remaining month sushi up I will gobble,
For seafood is scarce in our new homeland,
which is landlocked and mostly filled with sand.

Having weighed the cons and pros,
Getting into some minor rows,
we finally made an informed decision.
Let’s hope it won’t cause a family schism.

It will be hard and it will be tough
sometimes me no likey life on the rough.
Of comfort we will have less,
But as our father often says,
That which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
even standing face to face with a warmonger.

The benefits will be many indeed:
we will be helping those in need
attain personal growth with amazing speed
and professionally get in the lead.

Oh, my dear, in a year we will learn so much
and maybe make some friends who are Dutch.
Plus—an entire year without wearing a tie!
Tell me, Muhammad, where can I buy Pad Thai?
